burnt-feathers:
"songs of ecstasy and paranoia; desire-vectors in graceful haphazard ricochet; sadomasochism as an exorcism of grief; prayers for the repair of the divine tether"
Dagger Wound:
"Legend has it that the grim reaper doesn't play fair. Sometimes the scales aren’t balanced and someone is taken before the world is ready to lose them. People screech and mourn wail and sometimes can't survive it. The besotted ones pray to the grim reapers ex gay lover, the dark prince, a figure that's not a fallen angel or an earthly demon but can weave between the underworld and waking life with ease. Some say that the dark prince was once human, but suffered an excruciating death of their deepest love and died in the underworld and pieced themselves back together to walk on earth again. A figure feared by society for its considered perverse and a lunatic, for the world does not react kindly to mutants who do not fear the wrath of a structure that will soon fall. This entity is called on by those who do not fear death but must reconcile the depth of their pain with the reality of those they love being in a different plane. The wretched, tortured and punished find their solace, knowing this creature is communing with the dead, building bridges so that the veil is thin and communication channels are open. Blood is split and hurt becomes a new appendage, the creature protects those who are grieving, and offers them solace from the never ending agony. As lonely as loss is, the dark prince will always be a guide, call on it instead of the reaper, its not your time yet to die but to mourn, bleed, and stay alive."
